The Addams Family - Das Musical Musical
by Marshall Brickman, Rick Elice, and Andrew Lippa, based on characters created by Charles Addams.

The Addams Family is back!
This time in a hauntingly beautiful musical comedy show. The Addams live in their dilapidated mansion near Central Park. The neighbors attribute to them a penchant for the macabre.
They are considered quirky, eccentric, and viewed by some as monsters. When their smallest family member, "the little cold hand," runs through the front yard or when they see the son of the house playing with his guillotine in the moonlight, passersby change sides of the street.
So far, none of the Addams have cared about the gossip, but suddenly the daughter Wednesday starts to feel ashamed of her family:
Wednesday is in love with Lucas, a completely "normal" boy.
She dreads the thought of Lucas meeting her family, but the encounter cannot be avoided.
Lucas' uptight mother is right there at the door to get an impression of the people her son associates with.
With a tense crossbow and an evil smile, the Addams greet their guests and try to be "perfectly normal" for their daughter's sake for one evening.

The hands are moving backwards, the balloon is ready for take-off: Bernhard Paul's Circus Theater Roncalli is all set for the grand anniversary tour celebrating the 50th birthday of "Europe's most admired circus" (Herald Tribune Washington).

Opening a door to the future
The team around Bernhard Paul has prepared a true fireworks of ideas for the 50th anniversary. "The program should not be a best of or a poetically dreamy retrospective, but rather open a door to the future!", says the Roncalli founder and circus director. The beloved Roncalli flair and the courage for innovation will remain: "Strengthened by the experiences of the 50 years of the Roncalli idea, we are entering the anniversary tour with vigor and passion. - Get ready to be surprised!"

The Journey to the Rainbow
On May 18, 1976, Roncalli celebrated the world premiere of "The Greatest Poetry of the Universe" and toured through Austria. It performed in Vienna, Graz, and Salzburg, where the audience could experience the unique blend of theater, clowning, and dream world for the first time. But it was only the premiere of "The Journey to the Rainbow" on June 4, 1980, in Cologne that established the legendary success. Roncalli is a poetic counter-design to the circuses of that time. The native of Lower Austria, Bernhard Paul, is celebrated as a renewer of circus art. He focuses on the overall staging. In the following years, the circus expands, can hardly keep up with visitors, performs at the invitation of cultural offices and theater festivals, and travels as a cultural ambassador of the state of NRW to Moscow, Seville, Copenhagen, and New York. Today, Roncalli stands for much more than just a circus. The live entertainment company is admired and awarded worldwide for its extraordinary show concepts and experience worlds.

Roncalli's next generation
With its anniversary, Roncalli 2026 celebrates not only the life's work of its founder Bernhard Paul. The next generation, with Vivian, Adrian, and Lili Paul-Roncalli, is already in the starting blocks. The anniversary year will also be an opportunity for them to present their vision for the dream manufactory to the world.

This genre-crossing adaptation of Norse mythology combines thrilling comic theater with professional wrestling into an adrenaline-fueled spectacle that is unmatched worldwide. This is not a show you simply watch - it's a myth you experience up close!

Ancient prophecies collide with the excitement of live combat as legendary gods like Loki and Thor attempt to create a new world and prevent the foretold apocalypse, Ragnarök. The Daily Mail describes the production as a "phenomenon," while the Telegraph calls to "fight for a ticket" to experience this unique theatrical adventure that pulls its audience into an epic odyssey full of surprising twists and impressive physicality.

With a seamless blend of the humor and gravitas of classic Shakespearean theater, the palpable tension of live wrestling, and a Viking rock soundtrack by the legendary Nordic composer Kjell Braaten, "Mythos: Ragnarök" transports its audience to Asgard and beyond. Developed with great passion by the same actors who perform the piece and honed to comedic perfection over hundreds of performances, "Mythos: Ragnarök" has become a cult classic that delights tens of thousands of fans of theater, wrestling, and mythology alike.

The creator and lead actor of "Mythos: Ragnarök," Ed Gamester, comments: "When I developed this show in 2021 with the intention of connecting theater and wrestling in completely new ways, I never dreamed it would become an international phenomenon and take me around the world. Every time I arrive in a new city, I am profoundly grateful." And we are grateful that "Mythos: Ragnarök" will soon make a stop in Austria!

Shlomit Butbul, Reinwald Kranner and Jakob Pinter perform in a gripping piece of musical theater by composer Sergei Dreznin. A dance on the edge of the abyss, directed by Dennis Kozeluh and choreographed by Anna Lyubavina. Book & lyrics by Christine Khandjian & Stephane Ly-Cuong, German translation by Karlheinz Freynik.

Four theater texts by Elfriede Jelinek from almost four decades, written between 1988 and 2025. DIE ANKUNFT is a theater marathon at the right time – here, in the land of mountains, land by the river. And now, as the last firewalls in Europe begin to crumble.

1945, the last days of the war: A lavish celebration is held at Schloss Rechnitz in Burgenland. As the highlight, guests shoot approximately 200 Jewish forced laborers. In the 2000s, a right-wing extremist terror cell kills across Germany without interruption. In both cases, the legal proceedings drag on, witnesses remain silent, evidence disappears. And today? The political center falls silent, the right-wing turn is in full swing, ethnic and radical thinking becomes respectable again – and frightening continuities become ever more recognizable.

Elfriede Jelinek distills both contemporary history and immediate present into great literature. RECHNITZ (THE STRANGLER ANGEL) is her central work on Nazi crimes and their legacy, in DAS SCHWEIGENDE MÄDCHEN she addresses the murders of the NSU and the subsequent trials. And in DAS LEBEWOHL – NEIN:

DIE ANKUNFT she escalates the self-assuredly clumsy rhetoric of right-wing rabble-rousers into a breathless hymn of power takeover fantasies and fascist nature poetry. Jan Philipp Gloger, who has been dealing with the works of the Nobel laureate Elfriede Jelinek in productions, including world and premiere performances, for many years, combines four of her plays into a grand edifice of repression and return. An evening about the lines of tradition of nationalist thought and right-wing violence through the centuries – and an evening that traces madness as well as laments forgetfulness and silence. As a prologue serves Jelinek's early work WOLKEN.HEIM. Here, Hölderlin, Hegel, and other classics already speak in a chorus of national pathos – thus preparing the ground for the future.

Movement and music merge into an intense Flamenco experience, inspired by Andalusian folklore and the power of traditional dance art. At the center is the connection between expressive dance and classical Spanish guitar music.

The dancer Maryem Torres was trained in Granada and perfected her style with renowned artists in Madrid, Seville, and Jerez. In addition to Flamenco, she studied classical and contemporary dance as well as piano. Since 2014, she has been seen on international stages in Europe and North America, including regularly in the famous caves of Sacromonte.

The Austrian-Argentinian duo Duo MüllerFunes has been delighting audiences for years with virtuosic guitar artistry. Concert tours have taken them through Europe and South America, including the Conservatorio Reina Sofía in Madrid and to renowned festivals. In 2023, their debut album Musica Latina was released.

The guitarists Raúl Ernesto Funes and Daniel Müller are among the leading representatives of their field, combining technical brilliance with musical depth.

An evening full of energy, emotion, and musical precision.
