The Cuddle Choir - the most exciting choir since the invention of polyphony - stands for a tingling mixture of pop music, performance, haute couture, and passion. According to legend, it was founded around 9 years ago in a Vienna flat-share bedroom and has since become an indispensable part of the music scene. Under the artistic direction of Verena Giesinger - exceptional conductor, heartbeat, rhythm, and baton of the Cuddle Choir - a variety of brilliance is offered that is unmatched.



The emotional, delicate spectrum is mastered by the devoted, now around 50-strong troupe, as much as danceable hits like Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way." Anyone who has ever experienced the Cuddle Choir live knows that no eye remains dry and no body stays motionless. Further refined arrangements span the gamut from David Bowie to Aretha Franklin, James Blake, and Billie Eilish. An edgy potpourri that stimulates and excites all emotional channels, while not shying away from genre boundaries. Verena Giesinger - Conductor

A legacy often has very different meanings for different people. Some think it is simply a blood connection. For others, it is the motivation to make important decisions that can affect future generations. For the Austrian singer/songwriter Maria Burger, who performs her indie-pop under the name Oska, this heritage means both at the same time. That is why this theme runs through her remarkable debut album "My World, My Love, Paris".

Maria grew up in a large family. She is the youngest of eight siblings, three of whom were half-siblings. Music could be heard in every room of the house. Her mother plays the guitar, loves Irish music, and ballet. Maria learned to play the guitar at a young age herself. After school, she raced home to write songs that reflected the diverse influences she perceived in her family. Today she lives in Berlin, but she has taken this musical education with her to the capital.

As Oska, she opens up her own world with her bright melodies, groovy rhythms, and poetically narrative lyrics. Already on her first EP "Honeymoon Phase" from 2021, you get a wonderful impression of her elegant songwriting, which revolves around familiar themes such as love, heartbreak, climate change, or family. With the title of her first album, she remembers the disturbing reality that the future of our planet has never been so uncertain. For example, the title song was written shortly after the outbreak of the pandemic and tells the story of a couple boarding a ship while the world around them is falling apart. Sailing away, they wonder if they could have made more of their lives. The piece is the kindred spirit cousin of "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" by Edith Piaf, who in turn has a great influence on Maria's music.

With its many different aspects, "My World, My Love, Paris" is a fantastic snapshot of a young woman who, in turbulent times, is trying to give meaning to her upcoming life. In October, Oska will embark on her major "Forever Blue Tour" throughout Europe with new music.

Mal Élevé feat. Osy / Iriepathie / Austria Tour 2024

After Mal Élevé kick-started his solo career, he decided in 2023 to release the collaborative EP "Dream" with his long-time companion Osy. The two musicians not only share the stage for some time but also their commitment to activism against the far right. Their common journey is set to continue, and in September 2024, their first album will finally be released through the label Irievibrations Records.

As is known, Irievibrations Records was founded by the Austrian band Iriepathie, the flagship of reggae in the Alps. The collaboration between Iriepathie and Mal Élevé, who was the lead singer of the band Irie Révoltés at that time, began back in 2013. Their joint song "Laut sein" became a hit and has been one of their most successful songs since then. On Mal Élevé & Osy's "Dream" EP, they were able to reignite this chemistry, resulting in the feature song "Energie" with Iriepathie.

Therefore, it is natural for Iriepathie not to miss supporting their friends Mal Élevé & Osy on their Austria Tour in September. Expect a show that will showcase the strengths of the three acts - hip hop, reggae, and dancehall with clear messages for a better world.

"Being authentic and not being an asshole is important to me," musician Anda Morts comes from Linz and is an indie-punker without artificial attitude. What the 25-year-old sings about gives his audience a feeling for his state of mind. In the phase between 20 and 30, he is often marked by questioning, feeling trapped, feeling a bit uninspired, angry, or really disillusioned, and of course by sometimes simply not feeling like doing anything.

Anda Morts always expresses the state of his inner life in his mid-twenties directly in a small book on paper. He plays guitar, sings what comes to his mind, and the words come out. Initially in English, after just one single, he switches to his native language German.

Starting the songwriting process in solitude is very important to Anda Morts. "I mainly produce alone in my shared flat. Occasionally, friends come over and something comes up, but I prefer to be alone."

The musician mainly draws inspiration from punk rock, the genre that also brought him to music. At the age of 11, he starts playing drums and about two years later, his fascination for punk begins. Another two years pass until, at the age of 15, he starts his first band, an Oi! band. Around that time, the young artist also learns to play on a broken guitar with only three strings left. The broken instrument is soon replaced by a cheap but intact acoustic guitar, and he starts writing and singing himself. "I thought music is for everyone, punk rock riffs are easy, I can do that too." As Anda Morts, he has been releasing his own pieces since 2022. Besides, he also plays drums in his shared flat band "Die Partie," which creates music that is "somehow punk and somehow not."

In a punk way, Anda Morts has a liking for nicknames. The artist's name is derived half from his first name Andreas because his grandma always called him Anda as a nickname. The other half, Morts, is the word 'Strom' (stream) spelled backward - inspired by a beer cart at the Danube beach in Linz, whose flag was once hung upside down.

Since March 2023, Anda Morts has been signed with the Vienna label MOM I MADE IT, alongside label colleagues such as post-punker SALÒ. His debut EP "MORTS" was released this June.

Granada, the Austrian Neo-Austropop band from Graz. Perhaps it is the almost Mediterranean lightness of Styria that shapes the unmistakably honest charm of the five-member formation. In addition to accordionist Alexander Xidi Christof, Granada's guitarist Lukacz Custos, Thomas Petritsch, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and all-around talent (Effi), Jürgen Schmidt on bass, and Roland Hanslmeier on drums. It seems that Thomas Petritsch, founder of Granada, has not only found his linguistic roots in this constellation.



Thomas Petritsch told the Wiener Zeitung: "From the beginning, it was clear to me that an accordion had to be involved. On the one hand as a very Viennese instrument, and on the other hand, it is also very important in Styrian music."

With a new album in tow, Scott Matthew will be back on tour in October 2024. The Australian singer-songwriter will be accompanied by his two long-time musicians, Marisol Limon Martinez on piano and Jürgen Stark on guitar.

Currently in his chosen home of New York, he is in the studio giving the finishing touches to the recordings of his second album of cover versions. Those who have experienced one of these moving Scott Matthew concerts know about the tradition of ending the set with a cover song and leaving the stage. Or, as Scott himself calls these encores: "These songs are like old friends, some of whom I grew up with and who have provided comfort and support in special life situations."

In 2013, he released a collection of covered favorite songs called "Unlearned" (Glitterhouse/Indigo).

For his new work, he will once again work out the emotional core of "old friends" with love and empathy and translate them in a new and touching way through his distinctive voice and sparse instrumentation. The tracklist and album title are still secret, but one thing is already revealed: world-famous pop hits will be present on the new album and in the setlist for the upcoming concerts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in October 2024, as well as some classic soul tunes and largely undiscovered musical gems. The concerts will mostly take place in seated concert halls.

His second album "Teilzeitromatik" (Gold in Austria) - which features not only "Wo bist Du" and "Ring in der Hand" but also the double platinum awarded summer hit "Expresso & Tschianti" - has firmly established Josh. as a mainstay in Austria's music scene. Countless sold-out concerts followed, but the successful and likeable Viennese also strained his health with this. A several-month break was the result. This did not hinder his success; it was more than beneficial for Josh.'s health.

With "Reparatur," his third album, in which he also addresses more serious issues like his health problems, he immediately climbed from zero to number 1 in the Austrian album charts in autumn 2023 right after its release, seamlessly continuing the success of the Viennese. New tracks such as "Ich gehör repariert," "Tanzen bei der Arbeit," or "Von Dir ein Tattoo" have, like his mega hits, become fan favorites.

After successful tours through Germany in the autumn of last year and in the spring of this year, JOSH. is currently back on the road in Austria. The tour will reach its climax and conclusion on November 7, when JOSH. and his band perform at the Wiener Stadthalle. One can already look forward to one or another surprise.
