The successful program of the Vienna cult band and the legendary Rapidler is a musical affair of the heart for the three tenors Thomas Schreiber, Toni Matosic, and Hans Krankl. The love for Italian music and American music with Italian roots allows for an unprecedented mix of oldies and superhits from recent decades. On one hand, Adriano Celentano's "Questo ragazzo della via gluck," Gianni Morandi's "Sciende la piogga," Zucchero's "Guantanamera," Tony Dallara's "Come prima," and on the other hand Dean Martin's "Innamorata" and "That’s Amore" and "On an Evening in Roma," Elvis Presley's "it’s now or never" and "Surrender," Faust Leali's "Hurt," among others. As always, alongside the special interpretations of the songs, there will also be plenty of information and witty remarks, which will be presented by the protagonists in the typical Monti Beton style in a spontaneous manner. CHEERS!
About Monti Beton:
There is hardly a band in Europe that dedicates itself so intensely to the promotion of elevated rock and pop music - without acting as a typical cover band - as the group MONTI BETON from Vienna. Specifically, the band has been primarily focusing on artists or groups that can no longer be seen live for over 40 years, although their music can now be considered quite contemporary. MONTI BETON consistently manages to connect with the roots of this music and its artists, thus conveying the fullest message of the original without imitating it, but rather interpreting it in the typical MONTI BETON style, meaning humorously entertaining. Thus, MONTI BETON has its own full evening programs - which include music from the Beatles, Elvis, Kinks, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, David Bowie, or the Doors.
Together with goal scorer Hans Krankl, the Vienna cult band has developed three additional programs: "Best of Austropop," "Christmas Classics Extravaganza," "Il Spettacolo Italo-Americano," and of course "The Schlager Night of Schlager." On July 5, 2025, Johann K. and Monti Beton will celebrate their joint 20th stage anniversary with a unique event at the Vienna State Opera. Monti Beton itself celebrated its 40th stage anniversary at the Wiener Stadthalle in October 2022.
