Starting from March 28, the dinosaurs are on the loose again at Schloss Katzenberg! Now in its fifth season, DINOLAND has established its permanent location in the castle park and has become a major attraction with several hundred thousand guests in recent years, solidifying its place in the leisure offerings of the Innviertel! The nearly 100 displayed dinosaur stars have been visitor favorites since the very beginning, but the adventure offerings of the large family park are also impressive: climbing, balancing, and crawling courses, a labyrinth, Dinodrom, and Dino rides, a research camp, and much more transform the educational path through the castle park into a true action experience! New dinosaurs will also bring a fresh breeze to the park in 2026. In summer, DINOLAND will again feature an XXL slide leading to a water paradise!
In Dinoland, visitors can plunge into the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area covering 40,000 square meters! On their discovery tour through the expansive research grounds, they embark on an exciting journey to an ancient geological era over 200 million years ago, featuring nearly 100 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors come face-to-face with impressive colossi such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most well-known reptiles. They all tell fascinating stories and will excite both young and old explorers! All models have been meticulously crafted under scientific guidance. Some of them can even move and make sounds thanks to elaborate animatronics, making them remarkably lifelike.
Interactive and Educationally Valuable
Dinosaur-themed Dinoland has created a unique prehistoric classroom, where interactive children's areas invite discovery, touching, and experimentation. Instead of in a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore the fascinating world of prehistoric giants and their era in the beautiful surroundings of Schloss Katzenberg. In addition to the impressive exhibits, the experience park offers a diverse and extraordinary participation program for all ages. At the Dinodrom, young visitors can cruise around on Dino scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs while riding, and win a personalized explorer pass during the Dino rally. It's exciting and educational to sift for treasures and uncover fossils in the research camp, where children become amateur archaeologists!
Additionally, there are numerous challenging climbing and crawling structures, giant slides, an enchanted labyrinth, thrilling balancing paths, a flying fox that allows you to "fly" from tree to tree on a cable, and the Dinoland water playground! This water-themed play paradise is not only a huge fun factor for little water enthusiasts but also incorporates a great educational concept! A drinking water fountain provides free cooling on hot days, and a gold panning station along with new fossil rock for the research camp makes the outing thrilling and exciting.
Visitors should definitely plan at least three hours for the approximately one-kilometer circular path! A variety of attractions are included in the entrance fee. Children under four years of age have free admission.
