Strauss 200 - Schampus für Schani!
The Vienna Volksoper Symphony Orchestra accompanies the Cologne Men's Singing Club (KMGV) and its long-time conductor, the native Viennese Bernhard Steiner, on its journey to the famous son of the city. Throughout the entire year of 2025, the KMGV, one of the largest and most versatile men's choirs in Germany, celebrates the music of the waltz king - from the one-of-a-kind and celebrated choral musical with a Cologne version of Die Fledermaus during the carnival season to two sold-out Strauss concerts in Cologne and a successful concert tour to Hamburg. The concert in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein forms the undeniable highlight of this unique anniversary year! It proves: The music of Johann Strauss (Son) has conquered the world from Vienna.
