Nasti's real name is Anastasia and she has a big problem: She is afraid a lot and often. For example, there’s her fear of being alone, the dark, dark basements, horrible movies, and all kinds of dogs. Her best friend, on the other hand, is never afraid and Nasti knows why: She has a guardian angel, which she wears as a pendant on a golden chain around her neck. Longingly, Nasti wishes for such a guardian angel as well. Although that doesn't happen, a certain Rosa Riedl enters Nasti's life – a "guardian ghost" and, by the way, the first worker ghost in Vienna. Despite her advanced age and her ghostly flat feet, Rosa Riedl tirelessly fights for justice and accompanies Nasti from then on. Of course, certain ghostly occurrences don't remain hidden from her surroundings for long, but fortunately, Rosa Riedl is sympathetic to everyone after a brief shock. But then Rosa Riedl disappears due to an accident and Nasti must overcome her fear and help Rosa Riedl.
In ROSA RIEDL, SCHUTZGESPENST, Christine Nöstlinger charmingly and humorously tells a story of courage, friendship, and the necessity of standing up for others.
