Weihnachts-Schlagertherapie
Hardly any time of year is as stressful as the pre-Christmas season. But Thomas Gansch and his colleagues - including actor Tobias Moretti on this evening - have the solution: With the Christmas version of the popular format "Schlagertherapy," they offer a brief escape into the idyllic world of 50s and 60s Schlager music. Because if it's kitsch, let it be truly valuable!

Snow softly falls,
Do you feel the same?
You open the newspaper, turn on the computer, switch on the TV, or tune in to the radio and despair the moment you are bombarded on all these channels convincing you that the end of the world is imminent? Environmental disasters, war, and terrorism wherever you look...
And as if there weren't already enough horrors on our planet, every year it comes back - Christmas!
Purchase orders on every corner (which we obediently follow), the noise of consumerism and mulled wine, visual overload of fairy lights and decorations for our overwhelmed eyes, "festive cheer!" & "contemplation!" in the heart completely out of sync with the "most peaceful time of the year," and - perhaps the most bitter aspect in the overly sweet Christmas punch - the poor, environmentally defenseless ear is mercilessly bombarded with acoustic phenomena that bring tears of joy to some, and panic sweats to others.
Don't you also want to completely disconnect from this global Christmas machinery? Escape into the idyllic world of the greatest Schlager hits of the 50s and 60s by Caterina, Vico, Connie, Peter, Udo, and of course Peter the Great?
I feel this way sometimes, and that's why this special evening exists. Let's forget the world's worries for a brief moment and indulge in our fondest dreams - so we can face reality again with renewed strength! If it's kitsch, let it be truly valuable! Schlagertherapy, so to speak.
One thing is promised in advance: Politics, Florian Silbereisen, Helene Fischer, and Andreas Gabalier must stay outside!
Instead, we have succeeded in enlisting one of the best known luminaries in this highly complex industry for this therapy. Tobias Moretti will contribute to this emotional massage with his esteemed Tyrolean humor and incredible experience, resulting in an unheard-of effect.

About Schlagertherapy
Schlagertherapy. In this supergroup, the musicians combine their three great talents - virtuoso instrumental playing, lots of humor, and therapeutic empathy, to indulge in the grand heydays of Schlager music. Worries about the confusions and craziness of our present time are left at the cloakroom, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in the cheerful and always happy world of Schlager.
The Schlagertherapy consists of the two brass music luminaries of the legendary group Mnozil Brass, Thomas Gansch and Leonhard Paul, who have been entertaining the music world with their playing and humor for several decades. Also on stage is Michael Hornek on the piano, with mischief in his heart and talent in his fingers - a trait he regularly showcases, among others, with Klaus Doldinger's Passport, as well as with Willi Landl or Maria Bill.
Rounding out the quartet is Sebastian Fuchsberger, also a former Mnozil Brass trombonist, who has now mainly dedicated himself to his tenor, but for this Who's Who get-together, brings back the trombone on stage.
