Circustage Kufstein 2025 - Young Circus Stars
The modern circus is once again a guest in Kufstein and offers a program full of laughter, listening, and wonder.
From January 23 to February 2, 2025, Austrian and international artists will present their special programs in a total of ten performances at the Kultur Quartier and in the district.
At the center of the new circus are the artistic performances of the artists, not physical strength. In addition to acrobatics and juggling, the performers also use acting, dance, and music to tell their stories.
Eight different companies are coming to Kufstein. In special workshops, children and adults have the opportunity to try their hand at various circus arts.
Additionally, performances will be offered in elementary schools and nursing homes in the Kufstein district.
The fourth Circustage Kufstein 2025 will be opened in the Kultur Quartier Kufstein with two performances specially curated for Kufstein by and for young people from the State School of Circus Arts Berlin (Thu, January 30, 2025, 11 AM + 6 PM).
The morning show is reserved for students from the district.
In the program CIRCÖS, representatives of the Austrian modern circus take the spotlight – Barbara Probst (Bath-Flop), Robin Witt (Looping), Tanja Simma (Anna De Lirium Alive in Concert!) - (Fri, January 31, 2025, 7:30 PM).
Beaming children's eyes are guaranteed by Michael Roher with his interactive reading “Zirkus Sorriso” in the foyer of the Kultur Quartiers (Sat, February 1, 2025, 3 PM). On Saturday evening, the stage belongs to the poetically and absolutely lovable clown show Pss Pss by the Swiss Cià Baccalà (Sat, February 1, 2025, 7:30 PM). With the Austrian premiere of the participatory circus show “Der Lauf” by the Belgian company Les Velocimanes Associés, the acrobatics festival concludes on Sunday (Sun, February 2, 2025, 6 PM).
Artist talks following the evening performances on January 31 as well as February 1 and 2 will allow the audience to gain insight into the working and thinking processes of the artists.
