The two grandmasters of their genre, Konstantin Wecker & Josef Hader, will perform together for the first time in favor of the organization you-are-welcome!
On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the anniversary gala for the 10th anniversary of the organization you-are-welcome will take place at the Vienna Globe Theater.
On this unique evening, Konstantin Wecker will be accompanied by his longtime musical companion Jo Barnikel on piano, while Josef Hader will bring accordion virtuoso Otto Lechner with him. The organization, which operates entirely on a voluntary basis, supports people who have fled to Austria and, with the help of well-integrated members here, supports projects in Afghanistan, in the Kurdish autonomous regions in northern Syria, as well as in the Yazidi areas in northern Iraq. You-are-welcome distributed filled school bags to needy families in remote villages in Afghanistan, organized solar systems for facilities that previously had no electricity, and delivered large medical equipment, such as a complete ophthalmology and urology clinic, ultrasound machines, wheelchairs, and much more. What could be quickly written down here was an infinitely laborious, voluntary effort, during which many obstacles had to be overcome in order to help in these crisis areas.
The proceeds from the HUMOR TUT GUT anniversary gala will be used for the aforementioned international projects. This combination of top-class artists should not be missed! Ticket sales will start on September 2, 2024, and only the fastest will be able to secure a ticket.
