Nach seiner vielgelobten musikalischen Leitung der Wiener Festwochen ist Fuzzman mal eben so abgetaucht. War am Berg. Unerreichbar. Kurz weg. Nachdenken. Dann ist er vom Berg runtergekommen und ihm fiel auf; „es waren 20 Jahre!“

20 Jahre Fuzzman!

Die kurze Schaffenspause, nach der enorm hohen Schlagzahl der letzten Jahre mit all ihren erfolgreichen Seitenabstechern war fruchtbar. In puncto Side-Quests ist neben den Festwochen, hier die zweifache Kuratierung des Popfests, sein eigenes Bergfestival Fuzzstock sowie zahlreiche Ausflüge in die Film- und Fernsehwelt als Soundtrack-Komponist zu nennen. Aber auch die eigentliche Haupt-Straße war gut vom umtriebigen Beute-Kärntner befahren.

Die letzen drei Alben „Willkommen im Nichts“, „Endlich Vernunft“ und „Hände weg von Allem“, allesamt in den letzten fünf Jahren veröffentlicht waren eine Triologie, in der sich der Künstler Zamernik neu fand; ernsthafter und dringlicher wurde. Dazu das durchgeknallt eklektische Werk davor mit seinem irrlichternden Mix aus Soul-Pop, Indie-Disco, Noise-Folk, Kärntnerlied und Schlager.

Es war ein langer und ein schillernder Weg gewesen. Ziel gab es dabei nie eines. Und nun ist es erstmals an der Zeit zurückzublicken, bevor die neuen Abenteuer warten. Mit 20 Jahren Fuzzman soll das geschehen. Fuzzman geht auf Tour und spielt ein Potpourri aus Klassikern und Querschlägern, Obskuritäten und Hits. Danach beginnt die Zukunft… After his highly praised musical direction of the Vienna Festival Weeks, Fuzzman simply disappeared for a while. He was in the mountains. Unreachable. Just briefly gone. Thinking. Then he came down from the mountain and realized, "It has been 20 years!"

20 years of Fuzzman!

The short creative break, after the extremely high pace of the last years with all their successful side ventures, was fruitful. In terms of side quests, alongside the Festival Weeks, we can mention his double curatorship of the Popfest, his own mountain festival Fuzzstock, as well as numerous excursions into the film and television world as a soundtrack composer. But also, the main road was well traveled by the industrious Fuzzman from Carinthia.

The last three albums "Welcome to Nothing," "Finally Reason," and "Hands Off Everything," all released in the last five years, formed a trilogy in which the artist Zamernik found himself anew; becoming more serious and urgent. Alongside this, there was the delightfully eclectic work before with its flickering mix of soul-pop, indie-disco, noise-folk, Carinthian songs, and schlager.

It had been a long and colorful journey. There was never a goal. And now it is finally time to look back before new adventures await. With 20 years of Fuzzman, this is to take place. Fuzzman is going on tour and will play a potpourri of classics and offshoots, obscurities and hits. After that, the future begins...
