NEW ALBUM "CLANCY" TO BE RELEASED ON MAY 17
The Grammy® Award-winning duo Twenty One Pilots has announced details of their major worldwide headline tour, The Clancy World Tour. Additionally, they have released a new song titled "Next Semester" from their highly anticipated upcoming album "Clancy". The new album will be released on May 17 via Fueled By Ramen. With The Clancy World Tour, Twenty One Pilots will be coming to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for six concerts in 2025.
Twenty One Pilots will celebrate the release of their new album with The Clancy World Tour, their biggest headline tour, which kicks off on August 15, 204 in Denver. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will traverse North America in the fall, followed by shows in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Last month, Twenty One Pilots made a comeback with the announcement of "Clancy" and released the lead single "Overcompensate" along with an official music video directed by Reel Bear Media. The track, rapidly climbing the Alternative Radio Charts and currently in the top 5, garnered massive attention upon its release, bringing listeners back into the band's immersive world of 'Trench'.
With over 33 billion streams worldwide and over 3 million tickets sold on global headline tours, the duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun from Columbus, Ohio, have established themselves as one of the most successful bands of the 21st century, redefining the sound of a generation. Co-produced by Joseph and Paul Meany, "Clancy" marks the final chapter in an ambitious, multipart narrative introduced on the band's groundbreaking multi-platinum breakthrough in 2015, "Blurryface". Furthermore, the upcoming release of "Clancy" on May 17 coincides with the 9th anniversary of "Blurryface", which was released exactly nine years earlier.
Twenty One Pilots expanded on the ambitious concept of "Blurryface" with their 2018 platinum-certified album "TRENCH". With multi-platinum and platinum singles "Chlorine", "My Blood", and the Grammy® Award-nominated song "Jumpsuit", the album was featured on the year-end Best-Of lists by Billboard, KERRANG!, Alternative Press, and Rock Sound, reaching #1 on the latter.
The epic album "Scaled And Icy", certified RIAA Gold in 2021, debuted at #1 on Billboard's 'Rock Albums' and 'Alternative Albums' charts, landing at #3 on the 'Billboard 200', marking the biggest opening week of sales for a rock album in 2021. The album featured the #1 Alternative Radio hits "The Outside", "Saturday", and "Shy Away", with the latter rising to #1 in just three weeks, placing the duo in an elite group of acts to achieve multiple songs hitting #1 in three weeks or less on the format, including: U2, R.E.M., The Cure, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Foo Fighters.
