Avi Avital is a jack-of-all-trades and visionary of the mandolin. Avital, who discovered his passion at the age of eight in the mandolin orchestra of his Israeli homeland, has brought the mandolin to the grand concert halls of the world. His repertoire ranges from Baroque music to modern chansons, jazz, and World Music. The program he creates with the Kammerorchester Basel spans a fascinating arc through the world of the mandolin.
