The dinosaurs are back at Katzenberg Castle! T-Rex, Triceratops, and company have become visitor favorites over the last two years, and exciting new additions will bring fresh wind to the theme park in 2024! The complete adventure offer of the large family park is continuously expanded, so even regular guests will not get bored! Dinoland has established itself as THE largest prehistoric leisure attraction for families and dinosaur fans in Austria and the Bavarian border area, with around 80,000 visitors per season!
Visitors to Dinoland in 2024 can once again immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area spanning 40,000 square meters! On their discovery tour through the extensive research area, they embark on an adventurous journey into a long-gone era over 200 million years ago, featuring more than 70 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors come face to face with impressive giants like the Tyrannosaurus Rex or the Triceratops to the Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most famous reptiles. They all tell interesting stories and are sure to captivate both young and old researchers! All models were faithfully recreated under scientific guidance. Some of them, thanks to elaborate animatronics, can even move deceptively realistically and produce sounds.
Interactive and educational
With Dinoland, a unique prehistoric classroom has been created, inviting children to explore, touch, and try out interactive children's areas. Instead of in a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore exciting facts about prehistoric giants and their time in the beautiful ambiance of Katzenberg Castle. In addition to the impressive exhibits, the theme park offers a diverse and extraordinary interactive program for all ages. In Dinodrome, young visitors can ride Dino Scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs for Dino Riding, and win a personalized researcher pass in the Dino Rally. Exciting and educational activities include sieving treasures and uncovering fossils in the research camp, where children become hobby archaeologists!
There are also a variety of challenging climbing and crawling facilities, giant slides, an enchanted labyrinth, exciting balance paths, a Flying Fox that allows you to "fly" from tree to tree while suspended on a rope, and the Dinoland Water Playground! This water play paradise is not only a huge fun factor for little water rats but also has a great educational concept behind it! A drinking water fountain provides free cooling on hot days, a gold panning facility and new fossil rocks for the research camp make the trip exciting and adventurous.
Naturally, the classics remain in Dinoland, but visitors can look forward to some great new attractions: Among other things, in 2024 there will be a water slide, which will bring additional fun especially during the hot summer months.
Visitors should plan at least three hours for the approximately one-kilometer circular route! All attractions except the Dino Rides and the gold panning facility are included in the entrance fee. Children under four years have free admission.
