What the play by Ray Cooney and John Chapman "Und das am Hochzeitsmorgen" is about can already be revealed here: On the wedding morning of his daughter, Tobias Poralik bumps his head against the door and subsequently has a hallucination: Her name is Polly and she is a dancing and singing Charleston girl. Tobias falls head over heels in love with her and is on cloud nine. The rest of the wedding guests justifiably begin to doubt his sanity - not least his wife. Spicy and grotesque situations are just some of the consequences, as well as a completely distraught bride and a father-in-law from Zagreb exploding with rage... Turbulent action on stage seems to be guaranteed.

After the extremely successful first three Zwettler Wohnzimmer events, our "Zwettler Wohnzimmer" will open its doors for the fourth time on Saturday, June 15, at the Stadtsaal.

The passion for both medicine and music: this is what unites the members of the group JAZZMED 4 Life. In addition to their musical kinship, the band members and doctors were brought together by the desire to make a societal contribution with their music. They achieve this by dedicating their concerts to the service of non-profit organizations or projects.

JAZZMED 4 Life - a music band and association at the same time - was founded in 2006 and plays original compositions that are inspired by R'n'B, Latin Jazz, and Pop, sounding melodically groovy. The proceeds from the charity concert will benefit the Hospice Sterntalerhof.

The Sterntalerhof takes care of families with children who suffer from a life-limiting illness, especially when the families are facing the farewell of a loved one.

The foundation of Playbackdolls was already predetermined when Tini Trampler and Stephan Sperlich sat across from each other late one night in a questionable establishment in 2009, with their respective hats falling in love with each other. No topic is too big or too small to be skillfully packaged into an a cappella concert by Martin Pfeiffer, Alois and Leo Röcklinger, and Stefan Rußmayr: sharp like Indian cuisine, honest and without any fibs, with or without blackouts, but sometimes twisted like autocorrect...

Thus, with a twinkle in their eyes and thought-provoking texts, they hold up a mirror to us.

Although practically on the verge of the "Silver Years" on stage and feeling the occasional "outsch," the question of an "a cappella midlife crisis" is completely inappropriate! In their new program, they prove the opposite, continually reinventing themselves!

«Tutto nel mondo è burla», everything in the world is a cruel joke. The punchline comes at the expense of the human being. The main thing is that in the end, one has laughed!

Giuseppe Verdi is known as a master of tragic feelings. Yet, the composer always wanted to write a funny opera. In Shakespeare's sardonic, gluttonous drunkard and bon vivant Falstaff, he finally found, at the end of his life, the suitable hero. He sends the same love letter twice. It doesn't occur to the down-on-his-luck knight that the friendly ladies might talk to each other. Thus, he sets a furious revenge machinery in motion, which leads the offended women against him. A jealous husband, a playful servant, and a young couple also interfere. In the end, everyone is the butt of the joke, some more than others, and old men mostly.

Melancholically smiling, the 90-year-old Verdi looks at the ever youthful life in his last opera, the youth, which repeats itself like the moon in always new faces, in always different human lives, as time passes to release us all as mortals.

The young director Tobias Ribitzki makes his directorial debut at the Tiroler Landestheater with this great masterpiece of Italian opera and leads the in-house ensemble through a turbulent evening full of cheerful entanglements and deep poetry.

After an exceptional performance in the intimate setting of London's EartH - where they first presented their new and already fourth studio album "Ultrasound" (release date: 05.04.2024) in full length live - the British band Palace now announce a tour through the UK and Europe for autumn 2024.





For the production of the new album, the band - eight years after their collaboration on the debut album "So Long Forever" (2016) - teamed up again with Adam Jaffrey. And "Ultrasound" follows the two EPs "Part I - When Everything Was Lost" and "Part II - Nightmares & Ice Cream" from 2023.





During the songwriting for the first tracks of the album, Palace frontman Leo Wyndham suffered a significant personal tragedy: his wife experienced a late miscarriage. "Ultrasound" then became an open diary of a year-long battle between despair and liberation from grief. "It was incredibly hard to comprehend what had happened, how to deal with it and how to move forward," he reports on the very burdening situation at that time. "The album is the journey of that experience - starting with a loss, then a period of processing, and then finally acceptance, release and growth. And being in awe of women within that. Their dignity, strength and courage in how they can deal with these things that feel beyond a man."





Leo Wyndham, guitarist Rupert Turner, and drummer Matt Hodges started playing music together in 2012 after fate led them all independently to London. The childhood friends released their acclaimed debut EP "Lost In The Night" in 2014, followed by the "Chase The Light" EP the following year. With their three albums - "So Long Forever" (2016), "Life After" (2019), and "Shoals" (2022) - the band has gained a large fanbase worldwide.





And the signs are good that they will continue this mission with "Ultrasound" and will also find some new supporters in Vienna.

When Christoph Fritz meets his mother, they shake hands to greet each other. Sometimes, he longs for closeness so much that he is delighted to receive spam emails or letters addressed to the previous tenant.

However, since one should not reply to spam emails and secretly opening other people's letters over steam is not a permanent solution, he sets out in search of intimacy, which he finds in unexpected places.

Thus, a secluded street in France, a nighttime garden in Lower Austria, or a urologist's office become the settings for unexpected tenderness.
