Since 2003, the Berlin singer-songwriter Dota Kehr, drummer Janis Görlich, and guitarist Jan Rohrbach have been making music together, first under the pseudonym Die Kleingeldprinzessin, and since 2013 under the name DOTA.

The band tours both nationally and internationally and has released 16 albums. They collaborate with Brazilian musicians such as Chico Cesár and Danilo Guilherme and have received awards such as the Prize of the German Record Critics and the Fred Jay Prize.

In 2021, DOTA entered the Top Ten of the German album charts for the first time with "Wir rufen dich, Galaktika." A year earlier, the album "Kaléko" was released with musical interpretations of the texts of the poet of the same name. Initially conceived as a one-time project, it was so successful that in 2023 they released a second Kaléko album, "In der fernsten der Fernen," which also made it into the Top Ten and was awarded the Prize of the German Record Critics. Both works feature an illustrious lineup of duet partners, including Black Sea Dahu, Alin Coen, Sarah Lesch, Nicola Rost (Laing), Anna Mateur, Dirk von Lowtzow (Tocotronic), Clueso, Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Funny van Dannen, Rainald Grebe, Hannes Wader, Konstantin Wecker, and others. Politically engaged, DOTA does not only settle for having the "right" opinion and delivering slogans to those who already agree.

Instead, she confronts her own perplexity. No answers, but songs that allow us to indulge in utopia for the duration of a chorus at least. In doing so, she always exposes her own standpoint, analytically mocks it, and doesn't take herself too seriously.

Now, DOTA allows themselves a little journey through time. For their milestone birthday, they have created "A Song from Every Album" as a concert program, featuring songs from several years of band history. New and previously unreleased pieces will also be included.

With the music festival FREMDE ERDE – organized by VIVA LA CLASSICA! in collaboration with the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies (VWI), Neubau erinnert, and Exilarte – artists who were victims of Nazi tyranny are to be brought back to the public eye, and their forgotten works will be performed.

Their scores remained missing for decades, were not published, and their music fell into oblivion. Women were particularly affected. Therefore, the festival places a strong emphasis on displaced female composers who have largely remained unknown to this day.

The FREMDE ERDE festival – named after the opera of the same name by Karol Rathaus – is Austria's first festival dedicated to the theme of "Verfemte Musik".

A diverse program can be experienced: The foundation consists of concerts – from the open-air opening concert to chamber music and choral works. With "The Song of Terezin" by Franz Waxman, there is even a world premiere on the program in this instrumentation.

Literature enthusiasts will also find something to enjoy, for example when Ruth Cerha reads poems by Mascha Kaléko or excerpts from the diary notes of Anna Haag.

We questioned 100 people in 100 Bavarian large-capacity discos with booming beats: "What should Helmut Binser's new program be called?"

The answer was unanimous.
