Romeo has to go home, from Vienna to Upper Austria. Grandma is dying. Again. The journey to his hometown is also a time travel back to his own childhood and youth. He meets his old teenage love again, whom he unfortunately wasn't allowed to kiss back in school. Her family had forbidden it. Partly because Romeo had the wrong skin color. Mainly, though, because he had too few hectares (note: none).

Romeo visits a tent festival in his hometown, where the same band that played 15 years ago is still performing, and where the same Nazis who wanted to beat him up 15 years ago still want to do the same. It's marvelous when some things in life remain the same.

Surrounded by the smell of grilled chicken and slightly intoxicated from an entire box of Jägermeister, Romeo becomes nostalgic. Should he not return to Vienna at all, where people are more liberal - but unfortunately also more bland? Isn’t this village his true homeland? What does homeland even mean? Can one be proud of their country if they don’t know their own father?
In his second cabaret program “HEIMWEH,” Romeo Kaltenbrunner talks about growing up in the countryside, and what it is like to look different than what one’s family name and dialect might suggest.

This title of Jochen Malmsheimer's new program is inspired by Simon Bolivar, who, if one were to believe the internet, and unfortunately many do nowadays, lived with Jean Paul Sartre for a long time. Perhaps it was Simone Signoret who lived with Sartre.
Or maybe Sartre lived alone, but constantly in the boudoir.
Perhaps Sartre lived with no one, except maybe with a Beaujolais and some chips. Gitanes.
Who can say? And, above all, why?
In this program, which may be empty in the morning but filling in the evening, there are no eland antelopes or bromeliads, or other grass-like plants, as they are rightfully protected.
Furthermore, in addition to all sorts of oddities, it deals with the fundamental mistake of cycling, the rarity of art, its mysterious relationship with the moon, and other big and medium-sized questions, and very rigorously at that.
However, as always and everywhere, the ultimate truth remains:
Only the wind knows what really happens!

Molden & Seiler ft. das Frauenorchester - de zwidan zwa

Two have found each other. The "zwidan Zwa" is supposed to be the line-up. The songwriter has teamed up with one of the most distinctive voices in the country, and together they have recorded an album in just a few days. Allegedly, despite the title, it should be quite entertaining, with some treats from the field of new interpretations of great songwriting to be expected.
Seiler says, "For me, Ernst is one of the most complete musicians of our time." And Molden is pleased - aside from mourning Willi Resetarits - that "there is now someone who can put just as much soul into their voice."
And Haubentaucher.at simply says in the first review: How does that go together, please? Top-notch with a gold star.

Times of dominance! The Berni Wagner again. Is doing slapstick with language again. Verbal Jiu-Jitsu. Fine blade and so on, anyway - but all only self-defense, of course. Since he was told that a monster slumbers within him, Austria’s favorite shaggy hairstyle bearer clings to his humor with teeth and claws. Only this way can he tame his fear long enough to embark on the search for the monster: It must be somewhere in there - Or?

What's the point of science when it's much easier to claim on the internet that the Earth is flat? Florian Aigner (physicist) and Martin Moder (molecular biologist) provide answers to the truly big questions: Are we too dumb to save the world? Is it enough to drown our existence in alcohol? Dr. Florian Aigner is a physicist and science communicator. He earned his PhD in theoretical quantum physics, currently writes about science and technology, and is a sought-after science communicator in the media and on stage. Martin Moder, PhD, became the first Science Slam European Champion in 2014 with a presentation titled "Brain-dead fruit flies for tumor combat in a fly costume." He is involved in the "Society for Critical Thinking" and believes there has never been a more exciting time to be a molecular biologist. His dissertation is titled "Parallel genome-wide screens identify synthetic viable interactions between the BLM helicase complex and Fanconi anemia." One would think hardly anyone understands that. Nevertheless, this enthusiastic bodybuilder was celebrated in the Austrian tabloids as "Dr. Sixpack." Since 2016, Moder has been an integral part of the science cabaret group Science Busters.

His book "Genpool Party - How Science Makes Us Stronger, Smarter, and Less Insufferable" was published by Hanser in 2019. His YouTube channel M.E.G.A. (Make Europa Gscheit Again), which he co-founded with Florian Aigner and Christina Emilian, has received numerous awards.

The world of The Tiger Lillies is dark, strange, and diverse, featuring moments of deep sadness, cruel black humor, and great beauty.

This unique "anarchic Brechtian street opera trio" tours the world and plays songs about "everything that has nothing to do with pretty blonde girls and boys running around in the meadow," to quote their founder Martyn Jacques.

The Tiger Lillies predominantly release concept albums. They often refer to literary sources such as "Struwwelpeter" (Shockheaded Peter; 1998), "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen (The Matchgirl; 2006), or plays like Hamlet (Hamlet; 2012). Other albums address themes like circus life (Circus Songs; 2000), the Seven Deadly Sins (Seven Deadly Sins; 2008), or freak shows (Freakshow; 2009). They repeatedly tackle topics such as prostitution, perversions, blasphemy, murder, filth, and similar subjects. The lyrics often play provocatively with irony in a detached manner.

The Independent described the Tiger Lillies as a “provocative avant-garde trio that combines cabaret, vaudeville, music hall, and street theater.”

New Program / Title to Follow - NÖ Premiere

Sigi Zimmerschied is the indestructible cabaret stalwart from the Lower Bavarian town of Passau.

Although old antagonisms have dissolved, the Passauer Trinity of church, CSU, and press no longer exists in that form; however, the phenomena that Zimmerschied addresses remain: sycophancy, vanity, power plays.

No one should feel too secure before his verbal impact, as Zimmerschied takes on everyone: church, teachers, Greens, CSU, provincials, city dwellers, cultural critics, rightists, leftists.

Some find him too crude, some too exhausting, intellectually too demanding.

Nevertheless, they are all fascinated by him. In addition, he is an author, filmmaker, and actor: Tatort, Polizeiruf 110, Eberhofer mysteries. Above all, however, he is one who has been fighting against intellectual narrowness, against prevailing opinions, against closed worldviews, against stupidity for over four decades.
