For a decade now, and with nearly 600 concerts, this sensitive and simultaneously captivating homage to the grand master of German-speaking entertainment music has thrilled audiences in the most renowned concert halls in Germany and Austria, reaching a cross-generational audience.
The anniversary tour 2027 shines with new facets of an unforgettable career, as well as additional hits, rarely played musical gems, and new, moving yet also funny stories and anecdotes from the personal notes of the unforgettable star.
"DIE UDO JÜRGENS STORY" takes the audience on an emotional journey through the life and work of one of Europe's greatest entertainers. Around 350,000 spectators have already experienced this homage and celebrated it with standing ovations. Thus, "DIE UDO JÜRGENS STORY" is the most successful and most performed tribute show about the music legend. In 2027, guest performances in Germany and Austria will be on the program again – including numerous cities where the show will take place for the first time. The brilliant duo Benesch and Pecoraro, under the direction of Erich Furrer, will provide an evening full of memories and surprises, making every Udo Jürgens fan's heart beat faster.

With Mario Pecoraro, a top-class artist could be won for the anniversary edition. He has already shared the stage for years with musical greats like the SEER and Rainhard Fendrich.
The internationally active pianist, singer, songwriter, and composer is capable of transporting a new and unheard dimension of passion, joy, and poetry into the unforgettable hits of Udo Jürgens with his incomparably heartfelt, warm, and simultaneously electrifying voice. His interpretation is genuine, his singing authentic. His virtuosic playing at the piano is characterized by unmatched dynamism, power, and lightness. An artist who sings from his soul into the hearts of people. He does not attempt to imitate Udo Jürgens, but instead aims to respectfully celebrate his work – just as Udo Jürgens wished: "I leave everything to you!".
A special dramatic highlight is the narrative accompaniment by the award-winning film and theater actress Gabriela Benesch. With great sensitivity and fine humor, she brings Udo Jürgens' personality to life, recounts moving anecdotes, and provides insights into the life of the exceptional artist through personal records. With charming finesse and masterful skill, she sketches situations and characters so vividly that Udo Jürgens’ life – from youth to old age – passes by the audience as if they themselves are a part of his story. Of course, a few "treats" and funny events are also included that Gabriela Benesch experienced with Udo Jürgens himself, as she met the great artist several times in very private settings.
The idea for the show "UDO JÜRGENS STORY" originated in 2017 in close collaboration between Gabriela Benesch and her husband, the renowned director, actor, author, and producer Erich Furrer. Together, they developed a stage format that accompanies the audience from the beginnings of Udo Jürgens to his later artistic work while providing deep insights into his career, values, and musical vision.
Erich Furrer, born in Vienna and raised in Switzerland, studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Bern. He has been internationally active for many years as an actor, director, comedian, author, and producer. In addition to numerous theater productions and award-winning acting work at home and abroad, he has celebrated great success with his own musical productions, award-winning comedy programs, as well as innovative adaptations of classical works, including those by William Shakespeare.
"DIE UDO JÜRGENS STORY" is far more than a tribute show – it is a touching homage to a life’s work that has shaped generations and an unforgettable evening filled with emotions, memories, and musical highlights! A must for all Udo fans!
