Guano Apes
New date, new location: The Guano Apes are not leaving anything to chance with their new tour. On January 24, 2026, they will rock the Gasometer in Vienna – after the autumn date in 2024 unfortunately fell through due to illness. But there's no need to worry, the Germans have come to play, as they inform their fans: "Dear fans, thank you very much for your patience and the many kind words. The wait is over, and we are happy to present you the new dates. We were even able to bring some shows forward.
The Guano Apes have become quite relaxed. Instead of submitting to the mechanisms of the market, the band from Göttingen has detached itself from that. No new albums produced every one and a half years, but rather going on stage when the urge hits again. But then relaxation is over: Anyone who was at the first post-pandemic tour, who experienced one of the powerful concerts at the big festivals, knows that.
From the first beats of the rather programmatically understandable opener "You Can't Stop Me" through all the hits to the last loud chord of the encore "Lords of the Boards," the Guano Apes let the wild beast run free and literally rocked every audience. This also can be seen as pioneering: While the world is becoming increasingly digital, the Guano Apes take an opposing stance and demand the analog. Or as they put it themselves: "We are closer to the ape than to AI. And there is a primal force that resides within humans, the Old World monkey: the urge for freedom. We support this tonally, together with our audience, for around three decades. In the midst of the AI turning point and digital detachment, grounding and understanding humans in nature is more important than ever. With our handmade sound, we want to bring back the audience's inner compass, reset it with a tonal tap back to the default setting, and thus liberate the inner ape."
So buckle up when the Guano Apes catch up on their Vienna performance on January 24, 2026!
