Alex Kristan has turned 50, or as the optimist within him says: "The first third of life is over." And because the thirst for action is still greater than the nocturnal urge to urinate, he takes this "round" as an opportunity to treat himself to a new solo program. Because when one suddenly finds themselves in the 50+ target group as a so-called Best Ager, only humor can help against the lead in the legs and the silver in the hair.

Supposedly, 50 is the new 30. Or is that only true for the local area? Even if 10 PM becomes the new midnight, the new skin care still doesn't have to be Voltaren instead of Nivea. It still pays off to buy long-life milk. Making diet plans, dyeing hair, whitening teeth, all of that is for pop-up seniors who see crowdfunding as a detox cure. His motto, on the other hand, is: "being sensible is like being dead, but before" and brings back the cheeky kid.

Martin Frank - Wahrscheinlich liegt´s an mir

The young Lower Bavarian cabaret artist Martin Frank shot up like a rocket into the cabaret sky and orbits there as a comet through satire. ... What he sees there, he summarized in the title of his third solo program, which will premiere in the fall of 2020.

You want to know what my new cabaret program is about? I have to disappoint you. I can't tell you today what act I will perform tomorrow. Maybe today I'll gossip about milk alternatives and tomorrow I'll be diagnosed with lactose intolerance. Maybe today I'll make fun of gendering and tomorrow I'll feel like a hydrangea in the body of an orchid. Maybe today I'll publicly stick myself on the federal highway and tomorrow I'll go on a private cruise through the Mediterranean Sea with my mom.

But I should issue a trigger warning just in case. Because something in this program will surely hurt feelings. Whether it's my absurd observations from everyday life, presented in my rural-rustic style or the one Italian aria that reminds you of your forceps delivery.

If you ask me, cabaret and comedy are more like a personal preference. Either you can stand me and we'll have a nice evening together, or you can't stand me and send me your mother-in-law. Turning it around or not: It's probably because of me!

Martin Frank or Frank Martin?

Whether on television or live on stage, the young man who goes by the name Martin is now an indispensable part of the Bavarian cabaret scene. Born in 1992 as a summer child in the midst of barn work in Lower Bavaria, he was early influenced by the tension between art and the cowshed, which smoothly transitioned into commuting between countryside and city.

Martin is a cabaret artist, author, actor, and a rejected voice student from all music conservatories. He has been awarded, among others, the Bavarian Cabaret Award (2018), the Prix Pantheon in Bonn (2019), and the Grand Cabaret Award in Berlin (2019). From the fall of 2023, Martin Frank will tour the German-speaking area with his currently fourth cabaret program "It's probably because of me."

Alex Kristan has turned 50, or as the optimist within him says: "The first third of life is over." And because the thirst for action is still greater than the nocturnal urge to urinate, he takes this "round" as an opportunity to treat himself to a new solo program. Because when one suddenly finds themselves in the 50+ target group as a so-called Best Ager, only humor can help against the lead in the legs and the silver in the hair.

His motto, on the other hand, is: "being sensible is like being dead, but before" and brings back the cheeky kid.

Exactly at that pivotal point in life, where the balance lies between looking well-groomed and being well taken care of, one asks oneself if everything really was better in the past and if so, why not? #weare - Starke Stimmen. Starke Frauen

Since 2018, the Viennese singer-songwriter and digital creator Virginia Ernst has given the topic of equality a large platform with her women’s concerts #WEARE – STÄRKE STIMMEN, STÄRKE FRAUEN. Over 70 female and male artists have joined the powerful women’s concert series in the past seven years to draw attention to ongoing social inequalities between women and men. On the occasion of the upcoming International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, the original #WEARE concert will take place at the GLOBE Vienna.

As a multifaceted event, Virginia Ernst brings several artists to the stage: In 2025, Kernölamazonen, Michael Niavarani and the Simpl Ensemble, Stella Jones, the Schick Sisters, Christina Kiesler, Chris Lohner, Anna Timmler, Miss Allie, and Schlor & Fanta will provide a good atmosphere. The evening will be hosted by moderator Silvia Schneider and actor Markus Freistätter.

The entertainer and poet sets wonder against the power of habit, placing humor alongside old patterns. Lightness! – Why not?

Bodo Wartke brings it to the wonder point!

In the seventh piano cabaret program, the musician and cabaret artist presents himself as a storyteller, who listens to the absurdly comical events of everyday life with all its inconsistencies and condenses them in a double sense. Bodo Wartke casts an unusually playful, language- and word-acrobatic glance at the phenomena of our togetherness. In doing so, he draws from the rich treasure trove of the German language, raising many a vocabulary with fine sensibility.

Problems with the printer turn out to be an identity crisis of the technical device, which is stuck in the wrong body. The well-known “egg hole” from children's rhymes triggers an astonishingly absurd and simultaneously philosophical stream of consciousness in the sleepy musician. Last but not least, the cabaret artist further develops well-known tongue twisters into poems and short anarchic stories, which he presents rapped and accompanied by piano or cajon in various musical genres – a tongue twister slam full of rhythm 'n' poetry.

Once again, the stage artist demonstrates himself as a music entertainer well-versed in both pop and high culture, sampling linguistically and musically through our everyday life. Sometimes comedically in the satirical exaggeration of unrestrained consumer eagerness, presented as a rap cover of a summer hit. Or provocatively sarcastic in the parody of the habit of "mansplaining," here as rock 'n' roll. But also lyrically in a classical adaptation, where the pianist gently takes us up with a tender ode to the moon and quietly offers a perspective shift when looking back.

And so, amidst all this lightness, there are always serious tones. The singer-songwriter reflects thoughtfully on early learned, unhealthy behavior patterns that can determine our lives. He critically highlights misogyny and the radical interpretation of religious dogmas. Yet, the hopeful gaze is not missing: What could our world look like if the many sore points of humanity were overcome?

Maya Hakvoort in Concert - Honoring Barbara Streisand

The Grande Dame of Austrian musicals, Maya Hakvoort, pays tribute to the producer, director, screenwriter, actress, songwriter, and gifted singer Barbra Streisand on Saturday, March 15, 2025, with a very personal concert: "Maya Hakvoort in Concert". The evening's program at the GLOBE WIEN is a tribute to the icon of show business and showcases the diversity of Streisand's musical work. "Barbra Streisand and her songs have motivated and inspired me throughout my entire life. I will interpret them with the same dedication and perfectionism she shows in her music, while also bringing in my own style and emotions to give the songs a personal touch," says Maya Hakvoort.

The program covers a musical journey from 1960 to the present and includes jazz numbers with great musical passages, film hits like Streisand's self-written song "Evergreen" from A Star Is Born. Also, captivating storytelling melodies by Michel Legrand, such as those from the musical film Yentl, will be heard, as well as pop songs and well-known duets originally sung by Celine Dion, Donna Summer, Barry Gibb, and Neil Diamond.

Maya Hakvoort will be accompanied by a 9-piece band led by Jeff Frohner, who is responsible not only for the impressive orchestral and band arrangements but also supported by eight string players from the Young Philharmonic Vienna, adding depth to the musical expression. Monika Ballwein and Andie Gabauer will complement the musical experience as outstanding duet partners. The collaboration with director Ramesh Nair enhances the evening with an elegant and magical touch.

In 2022, Luka Šulić stepped back from the intense touring schedule of 2Cellos to make space for creativity and to focus on family life - he has recently welcomed his fourth child. For the new album LIFE, released on Platoon on 22 March, Luka returned to his compositional roots to create music with an evocative sound world, enriched with luscious harmonies, soaring strings, and a cello line of transcendent beauty.

Luka’s musical foundation was built upon original composition and an innate skill in instrumental arrangements - this album is his debut as a composer and arranger. Two have found each other. The "zwidan Zwa" is supposed to be the name of the ensemble. The songwriter has teamed up with one of the most distinctive voices in the country, and together they recorded an album in just a few days. Two race withdrawals due to illness in the Race Across America, a serious training accident, and the cancellation of the 24-hour world record attempt on a race track in Colorado due to COVID-19 have left their mark on the 6-time Race Across America and 4-time Race Around Austria winner. In this multimedia presentation, he shares how to stay motivated despite setbacks, how to summon the motivation to cover nearly 5000 kilometers in just 8 days on the RAAM, and how he became the first person to ride over 1000 kilometers in 24 hours. Additionally, Christoph Strasser will talk about his new challenge he undertook in July 2022: participating in the Transcontinental Race, the most prestigious "unsupported Ultracycling Race" that took participants over 4000 kilometers from Belgium to the Bulgarian coast of the Black Sea. In contrast to the RAAM, he was without a support team that usually accompanies, provides for, and motivates him around the clock. Luggage transport, navigation, provisions, and break strategies must be completely self-reliant and without outside help. With this, Christoph stepped out of his comfort zone and faced a new and unfamiliar challenge.

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the anniversary gala for the 10th anniversary of the organization you-are-welcome will take place at the Vienna Globe Theater.

On this unique evening, Konstantin Wecker will be accompanied by his longtime musical companion Jo Barnikel on piano, while Josef Hader will bring accordion virtuoso Otto Lechner with him. The organization, which operates entirely on a voluntary basis, supports people who have fled to Austria and, with the help of well-integrated members here, supports projects in Afghanistan, in the Kurdish autonomous regions in northern Syria, as well as in the Yazidi areas in northern Iraq. You-are-welcome distributed filled school bags to needy families in remote villages in Afghanistan, organized solar systems for facilities that previously had no electricity, and delivered large medical equipment, such as a complete ophthalmology and urology clinic, ultrasound machines, wheelchairs, and much more. What could be quickly written down here was an infinitely laborious, voluntary effort, during which many obstacles had to be overcome in order to help in these crisis areas.

The proceeds from the HUMOR TUT GUT anniversary gala will be used for the aforementioned international projects. This combination of top-class artists should not be missed! Ticket sales will start on September 2, 2024, and only the fastest will be able to secure a ticket.

Alex Kristan has turned 50, or as the optimist within him says: "The first third of life is over." And because the thirst for action is still greater than the nocturnal urge to urinate, he takes this "round" as an opportunity to treat himself to a new solo program. Because when one suddenly finds themselves in the 50+ target group as a so-called Best Ager, only humor can help against the lead in the legs and the silver in the hair.

Supposedly, 50 is the new 30. Or is that only true for the local area? Even if 10 PM becomes the new midnight, the new skin care still doesn't have to be Voltaren instead of Nivea. It still pays off to buy long-life milk. Making diet plans, dyeing hair, whitening teeth, all of that is for pop-up seniors who see crowdfunding as a detox cure. His motto, on the other hand, is: "being sensible is like being dead, but before" and brings back the cheeky kid.

Exactly at that pivotal point in life, where the balance lies between looking well-groomed and being well taken care of, one asks oneself if everything really was better in the past and if so, why not? Shortsightedness is now compensated with foresight, and as long as the cake is more expensive than the candles on it, one is not old anyway.

Alex Kristan's alter egos naturally accompany him on this journey and are there to provide advice and assistance when it comes to the truly essential questions in the life of a man supposedly in his best years. It's a start-up into a new phase of life, where gout or truth is at stake.

And the truth is, he is 42 net, so exclusive of VAT. Aging is a very beautiful thing. Especially considering the alternative.

Klaus Eckel is the German autobahn among cabaret artists. Unfortunately, he doesn't know any speed limits.
However, in 2023, the hyperactive wordsmith finally took a break from the parking lot of life and enjoyed a 9-month timeout! Doing nothing for the duration of a pregnancy! Completely free from the pandemic! And this should be a high achiever? Well, if everyone did the same! Countless punchlines have piled up. And punchlines are like dogs with full bladders. They just have to come out.

And that's why he's going back on tour. The brand-new, freshly baked version of his stadium-ready breakthrough program: Slow Speakers Aren't Believed.

Morgan Jay is a true comedy phenomenon. He lives in Los Angeles, originally from New Jersey, and has Italian and Brazilian roots. He began his career in the New York comedy scene, and as colorful as his vita, so is his art.

He has developed his own genre and created a show that thrives on imperfection, authenticity, and shared experiences. A show with Morgan becomes an interactive comedy-music spectacle. On Thursday, May 8, 2025, he will be at the Globe Theater in Vienna and on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Geneva at Uptown.

Whether in comedy clubs or on social media, where he has over 6.3 million followers alone on TikTok and Instagram: His performances, which blend soft R'n'B and bossa nova melodies with humorous stories, have made him a favorite among audiences worldwide.

Morgan Jay's passion for comedy stemmed from his innate communication skills. The desire of a little boy for affirmation soon transformed into concrete artistic ambitions. According to his own account, he was the class clown in high school. "I think I just wanted attention at first, and that the girls would like me," he says. "But there was definitely a shift in how I thought about my craft when my motivation actually became clear to me, and I began to look deeper for ways to elevate a regular comedy show."
Morgan Jay's performance thrives in two areas. One of them is comedy clubs and theaters, where he skillfully connects instantly with his audience. He honed his acting skills in the New York comedy scene.

Now, the 41-year-old also entertains his audience through Instagram and TikTok with steadily new song parodies, stand-up comedy, and other sketches. In 2020, he released his first comedy show on YouTube, "I Hope My Ex Doesn’t See This," followed by the current second full special "Morgan Jay – Live at the Village." Morgan performed at the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in 2019, at the SF Sketchfest in 2017, and at the Big Fire Festival in 2017/2018, and is seen in clubs and colleges across the country. He is a regularly featured artist for sofarsounds.com and won 1st prize for the best comedy song at the International Songwriting Competition, which received over 16,000 entries.

The winner of the Quatsch Comedy Hot Shots 2022 is a showman - not because of his thyroid underfunction, but because everyone is hanging on his every word from the first second. Quick-witted, likable, and refreshingly authentic, the Swabian-Turkish comedian tours through the entire German-speaking region. He tells us about his experiences as an educator in kindergarten and why he doesn't get any acting roles. He takes us (mentally) to the sauna and we listen to his failures and backward speech, unable to do anything else but embrace him. It's no wonder he is one of the most promising newcomers in Germany.
