Annett Louisan is the voice of German chanson - and she does so with gigantic success. To this day, she has sold well over a million records, delighting, enchanting, and deeply touching just as many people with her concerts. Her debut "Bohème" is the work that started it all in 2004 - this album alone sold more than 500,000 copies, catapulting the previously unknown singer into the pop Olympus and laying the foundation for a unique career that continues to this day. Reason enough to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Bohème" accordingly: Annett Louisan invites her fans in 2025 to a concert tour in selected venues across Germany to take her fans on a special journey through time.
"That you are no longer what you once were" - with this line began in October 2004 "Das Spiel", the first song of the debut of the Hamburg musician Annett Louisan. This song, the album "Bohème" changed everything overnight in the life of the then 27-year-old art student and studio musician, whose greatest dream was to become a singer: "But just standing on stage and singing in front of so many people, finding that space I have when I’m alone and singing, that was the biggest challenge," recalls the extraordinary artist. "And then everything happened incredibly fast. From the birth of Annett Louisan, I couldn't remember any dream because I was living a dream. The whole day was so rich, I traveled a lot and the first times on stage were so exciting."
All these feelings from the early days are summoned by Annett Louisan at the concerts of her anniversary tour - taking her audience on a journey into her musical past. "I loved the idea of going on tour again with the first album and playing it in its entirety - also a challenge, but I have always believed that it is a timeless album, a classic."
Even today, with the distance of a matured artist, Annett Louisan looks back on her first album with gratitude: "I still love singing the songs incredibly. "Bohème" is one of my favorite albums, an all-time favorite." Much to the joy of her huge fan base. The special relationship with her fans is extremely important to Annett Louisan: "I really want to thank my audience from the bottom of my heart. For allowing me to get older, for allowing me to change musically, and for simply accepting me and much of it as it is."
Viewers can look forward to a special evening with their favorite artist. The pop lolita of yesteryear has not only matured personally but also artistically. "Over the years, my voice has deepened - something I see as a gift because it has gained more darkness, more colors, more depth. I feel that I can sing the songs today just as I would have liked to sing them back then," reveals Annett Louisan. And yet - with "Bohème", Louisan already impressively demonstrated that emotional pop music with German lyrics can be profound and at the same time filled with a shimmering lightness, like we usually only know from French chansons. In a total of ten studio albums, Annett Louisan and her art have evolved, and she has become one of the most important German pop artists of all time. There is no doubt - Annett Louisan has made her way. 20 years of "Bohème" will be a unique, unforgettable, and enchanting evening!
