My name is Luzi. Actually, Lucifer. That's not my real name, but my real name doesn't matter here at all. People only know me by the name Lucifer because I've thrown parties. Real parties. Awesome parties. Dirty parties. Really big, awesome, dirty parties, and I was a real force in the event organizing scene. I like the name Lucifer. The angel of light. The fallen angel. The angel who became the devil and stood up to the world. I did that. I stood up to everyone. Some people can't stand me for that reason, but I've outdone them all. I've left them behind. That's just how I am. I'm Lucifer, but if you want, you can also call me Luzi.
At 16, I already had loads of followers on Snapchat, whom I took everywhere with me. They were always there, no matter what I was doing. It was a real army, and when I called them, they came. At the private parties I was invited to (or not), I was always the wildest. I was the crazy one. I was the one where everyone was unsure whether to throw him out because he might set the house on fire or if they should better keep him in because he brings the party to life. I loved parties and was really addicted to them. I was at house parties, kitchen parties, basement parties, and eventually in clubs. Parties were my life, and eventually, word spread that my crew and I were the guarantee for an awesome party. Eventually, we no longer had to sneak into the parties but were actually invited. Event organizers approached us to see if we wanted to come by, and we got free entry, free drinks, and eventually, even real fees. I organized my first party, which was brutally successful, and from there, it took off. I became an organizer myself, and more and more people came each time. A good party organizer has to be there for his guests. Chatting here, a drink there. A selfie for Snapchat here, an Insta shoutout there. People came because of me, and I was there for them. They loved me, and I loved them, and so the party thing got bigger and bigger, and eventually, I was known throughout the whole republic. Hannover, Bremen, Frankfurt am Main, Mainz, Cologne, you name it.
My crew and I tore everything down. We set standards and established trends. Have you ever seen videos where teenagers slide down the underground station stairs on those red-and-white striped plastic construction barrier poles? We invented that, or drinking from the hollow hand. You cover your glass with your hand and tip it over. Then you open a small gap, the liquid shoots down, and you have to try to drink the whole glass in one go – shotgun, we established that too. Don’t believe it? Check out Snapchat!
To be honest, Corona threw a bit of a wrench into my plans. But I wouldn't be Luzi if I didn't cope with that too. After all, I learned early on to be flexible. When I was 14, my parents decided to move to the countryside. I grew up in Berlin Steglitz, and suddenly I was in Brandenburg on a field. I survived that by sneaking back to Berlin every weekend and not returning until Monday morning. But I got through it and made the best of it, just like now.
Corona comes. The parties are dead. Then I just make music. I can play the guitar and sing, and I know how songs work. I have a thousand little stories from nightlife, and I know what people want to hear. No one needs to tell me what works and what doesn't. I know that very well, but the cool thing about my stories is – they're all true.
I've seen things in this nightlife that you couldn't imagine, and I've experienced dramas that only nightlife writes. I have stories you wouldn't want to know and others you won't believe me or, as Homer once said when he visited the Mysteries of Eleusis: “I have seen the most terrible and the most glorious, heaven and hell”… or something like that. In a word. The music I'm working on right now will be a blast, and you can all feel like you're 16 again, like you're at your first garden party and drinking like crazy.
That's my music. That's who I am. That's life.
Definitely get ready. See you then.
