Die norwegischen Progressive-Metaller ENSLAVED haben eine Co-Headliner-Tour mit den Isländern SÓLSTAFIR angekündigt; als Support sind die ebenfalls aus Norwegen stammenden GAAHLS WYRD mit dabei. Die drei Bands werden im Februar 2027 durch Großbritannien und Europa touren. Enslaved präsentieren dabei ihr neues Album Mið, das am 30. Oktober über Nuclear Blast Records erscheint, während Sólstafir ihr aktuelles Werk *Hin helga kvöl* vorstellen.

Das neue Enslaved-Album Mið - ein altnordisches Wort für "Zentrum" oder "Mitte" - markiert einen weiteren Aufbruch und einen neuen Anfang. Die Band hat sich schon immer mit Übergangszuständen auseinandergesetzt, nicht zuletzt bei den thematisch verknüpften, von Mythologie durchdrungenen Werken über Initiationsriten: *Utgard* (2020) und *Heimdal* (2023).

Hin helga kvöl verbindet den charakteristischen, melancholischen Sound von Sólstafir mit Elementen aus ihrer Vergangenheit. So entsteht ein Album, das sowohl nachdenklich als auch innovativ ist - nicht nur in seiner Gesamtheit, sondern auch in der Songstruktur. Im Mittelpunkt von *Hin helga kvöl* stehen die tief empfundenen und mitreißenden persönlichen Darbietungen der Band; sie unterstreichen Sólstafirs Fähigkeit, Genres nahtlos zu etwas völlig Neuartigem zu verschmelzen. The Norwegian progressive metallers ENSLAVED have announced a co-headlining tour with the Icelanders SÓLSTAFIR; also joining them as support are the Norwegian band GAAHLS WYRD. The three bands will tour through the UK and Europe in February 2027. Enslaved will present their new album Mið, which is set to release on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records, while Sólstafir will showcase their current work *Hin helga kvöl*.

The new Enslaved album Mið - an Old Norse word for "center" or "middle" - marks another departure and a new beginning. The band has always grappled with states of transition, not least with the thematically linked, mythology-infused works on initiation rites: *Utgard* (2020) and *Heimdal* (2023).
