"Shiver and quiver, little tree, silver and gold throw down over me," Cinderella pleads. But no shimmering gown descends for the ball. Can she venture into the refined circles of high culture wearing her Adidas two-piece? She, of all people — without wealth, connections or a prestigious degree? How do we even define high culture—and why do some people feel alienated from it? Is so-called social mobility possible in our society, and what happens to those who arrive newly and—regardless of what they bring—are relegated to the status of "other”?
This production incorporates both German and English. Regie: Saliha Shagasi Ausstattung: Melina Jusczyk Choreographie und Musik: Theo Emil Krausz Licht: Philip Hobel Dramaturgie: Zoë von DohnányiEnsemble & Saliha Shagasi & von Melina Jusczyk & Theo Emil Krausz
